What are the indications that suggest you need an MRI fistulogram?

How is MRI Fistulogram done?
The area around the fistula is cleaned with an antiseptic. Contrast agent at times is also injected through a catheter after cleaning the portion. The patient is put inside an MRI machine. The machine is tunnel shaped and attached with magnetic scanners. Images of the fistula from different angles are taken that can be viewed on a computer screen. Any bleeding originating from fistula will be sealed with stitches.
