What is MRI Venogram?
MRI Venogram is also referred to as MRI Venography. It is the study of veins and arteries in the body via MRI imaging.
MRI Venogram makes use of high frequency radio-waves and a contrast agent that helps the doctor view his patients’ vein more clearly. This procedure helps the doctor in detecting and investigating disorders and abnormalities of blood vessels. This then makes deciding further line of treatment for patient easier. It also is used in detecting blood clots within veins and during bypass and stenting surgeries.
