The incision area needs to be kept dry for at least a week. While taking a shower, cover the area with plastic wraps. Slight pain and redness persists for few days after surgery, that gets healed with time. No stressful physical exercise should be done post operation. Sometimes patients are advised to avoid strenuous activities throughout their lives.
